Dancing in the Kitchen

So this all began in Detroit. Chris and I would love to spend time together cooking in our kitchen there. And most places (I have found) we have lived, we have spent a good amount of time in the kitchen. And we started dancing in the kitchen together. Sometimes with music, sometimes not.

And the night he proposed....we were dancing to his favorite song (our wedding song) by Lyle Lovett and then asked me to dance with him forever.

So it seems appropriate that just naturally, I started dancing with BBL in my arms in the kitchen. He giggles and seems to like it. And then I notice he is looking at his puppy. He loves that dog. He was giggling at me but also he just loves to see LE.

This is not the dancing but just a case of puppy love by baby boy:

Baby on The Move!

That is right: BBL has gone mobile!

Not too long after my post about him being so close to crawling, BBL starting crawling:)

I was able to take a video on my phone for daddy and send it to him. And I kept taping with our camera but did not get the best footage.

But here he goes:

BBL

At first, I was unsure about blogging because of the lack of privacy. But I discovered there are ways I can blog and still maintain privacy.

So when I blog about my son, I am going to use the initials BBL. A dear friend called him that during our pregnancy because we had not shared the name. So BBL stood for baby boy lipp or baby Buller Lipp.

You will see lots and lots of posts about BBL:) He is truly a wonderful and happy baby.

It is hard to believe that he is already 7 months!

For those friends and family that are catching up on the progress of BBL, his last appointment was the 6 month mark.

He weighed 20 lb 14 oz
and was 28 inches long.

He is a big boy:)
He is wearing 9-12 month clothes.

And I am very excited for springtime so he can be in less clothes.
I say that because he is inch by inch get closer to crawling and
he does better naked!

Here is BBL:

He eats well:)

He has a morning and evening meal.
He gets oatmeal or rice plus a fruit or veggie.

He has started an array of fruits and veggies:
Bananas
Pears
Green Beans
Peas
Squash
Carrots
Sweet Potatoes (a no-no, he does not like these at all)
Broccoli

It has been fun to have him in the kitchen as we whip up his food.

He absolutely loves his doggie, LE! He always smiles at her.
And recognizes the sound of her collar. And the two of them love
to play together on the floor. Plus, LE always wants to be in the
action during playtime.

Here is an example of her butting in:

I am excited to see their friendship grow!

Well, I am sure there is a ton more I could share about him at this point but we will take baby steps:)

Rollercoaster Ride of Motherhood

For those that know me, my emotions are a mix of high and lows. I have been told all my life that I am a sensitive person. I used to hate that word, sensitive. Now I appreciate it for what it is. A chance for me to feel deeply which makes my happy times extremly happy but also my frustrating or sad times extremly so.

Which leads to being a Mommy. As most Moms (especailly new moms) know, each day presents itself differently. Yesterday, I got to work-out, shower, put make-up on, have a cup of coffee, watch Bethenny Ever After (my favorite new guilty pleasure) and still had time to spare during naptime. I cleaned the kitchen floor, made a dinner for my husband, made home-made baby food and was set to go work at 4pm for my shift of 5-9pm. I felt like SuperMom. Yet, not all days unfold like this. A post tomorrow could be a whole different story.

But I think what I have learned out of my time at home with lil BBL (baby boy Lipp or baby Buller Lipp) is not 'sweat the small stuff' or the day to day stuff. It doesn't matter when or how chores get done or if I get dressed at 9am or 1pm. There is only one chance to see my BBL grow and learn. And I am finding out fast that the time goes by too quickly.

I have lots of friends that are expecting:) And I often think back to what would be the best advice to share with them. And I learning more and more, that you have to appreciate the moment you are in with the people you love. The rest of the life will figure it self out. My husband has been the best support in the transition of staying at home with BBL. He has helped me see that I have control of how I react the situations. Therefore if I have one of those days where nothing goes right, I can view it as horrible and cry or I can pretend like it is upside loops on a rollercoaster ride and through my hands up and scream Yippeee!!! Because if life was a straight ride, we would all get bored right??

(P.S. I am just getting started again at blogging. Excuse my scattered thoughts and posts until I get the hang of it)

Making Memories

I have decided to start a blog again.

This time my goal of the blog is to provide a place to track memories. Whether it be by pictures, stories or random thoughts; I hope this special time in our life will be remembered always.
